Asia Leads Tripadvisor’s 2023 Top-Rated Hotel Awards
In the recently announced Tripadvisor Travellers Choice Best of the Best Awards 2023, Asian properties dominated.
Of the Top 25 Hottest New Hotels globally, 12 are in Asia. The winning city was Istanbul across all categories, and in Asia, the winning ranked countries were Indonesia, India, and the Maldives.
Six Asian properties ranked in the prestigious World’s Top 10 Hotels. Rambagh Palace in Jaipur, India, taking the number one position.
The stunningly extravagant 1835 palace come luxury hotel claimed over 5,000 five-bubble reviews. Known as ‘The Jewel of Jaipur’, it also ranked first in Best Top Luxury Hotels, with its hospitality and amenities placing above and beyond.

5. The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong – Hong Kong, China

7. Romance Istanbul Hotel – Istanbul, Türkiye
8. Ikos Dassia – Dassia, Greece
9. Ikos Andalusia – Estepona, Spain
10. Padma Resort Ubud – Puhu, Indonesia
The Tripadvisor Travellers Choice Best of the Best awards result from 12 months of traveller reviews. The winners passing rigorous scrutiny over their offerings, trust, and safety standards. Tripadvisor states that fewer than one per cent of their eight million listings are awarded Best of the Best.
These awards have also highlighted how far and wide travellers have ventured in the last year, with ten winning subcategories covering 37 global regions. The wide range of unforgettable stays included a glamping retreat, a rock ‘n’ roll boutique property, to the opulent Jaipur palace hotel.

It’s not surprising after the last few years of Covid restrictions and lockdowns, travellers were after peaceful, rejuvenating vibe destinations with pampering and relaxation. Hotels focussing on wellness, spas, rooftop bars and restaurants, and all-inclusive destinations were the critical factors for many of this year’s winners.

For the zen vibes, book the Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong. It scooped the world’s number one award in Best Hotel with Spas and fifth place in Top 10 Hotels in the World. Hong Kong’s Ritz-Carlton is the world’s highest hotel, and their spa on the 116th floor has a vast soul-soothing vista.
Who doesn’t love an all-inclusive holiday stay? First place this year for Best All-Inclusive Hotel goes to Ozen Reserve Bolifushi, on Bolifushi Island in the Maldives.

The Maldives also took out first place in the Hottest New Hotel with their 5-star adults-only resort and secluded, castaway feel resort, OBLU SELECT Lobigili.

5. Varu By Atmosphere – Madivaru, Maldives with 2,904 reviews ranking its rooms, pool, and beach the best.
6. Adiwana Suweta – Ubud, Indonesia with 1,473 reviews ranking its pool, spa, and concierge services the best.
7. La Sinfonia Del Rey Hotel & Spa – Hanoi, Vietnam with 1,185 reviews ranking its rooms spa and rooftop bar the best.
8. Jaya House River Park – Siem Reap, Cambodia with 3,225 reviews ranking its pool, spa, and rooftop bar the best.
